{July 2, 2013}   Beef + Bacon Pizza (Cooking Light’s Crave! [2013])

1 pound refrigerated fresh pizza dough

Cooking spray

.5 pound ground sirloin

1.25 cups sliced onion

3 minced garlic cloves

1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary

.5 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 tablespoon yellow cornmeal

.5 cup marinara sauce

1 cup shredded and divided part skim mozzarella cheese

.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 cooked and crumbled slices center cut bacon

  1. Place dough in a bowl coated with cooking spray.  Let stand, covered, 30 m.
  2. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  3. Cook beef in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat until browned; stir to crumble. Drain.  Add onion to pan; saute 6 m.  Add garlic; saute 1 m.  Add beef, rosemary, and pepper to onion mix.
  4. Sprinkle cornmeal on a large baking sheet.  Roll dough into a 12″ circle; place on prepared baking sheet.  Spread sauce over dough, leaving a .5″ border.  Sprinkle with .5 cup mozzarella cheese.  Spread
